The sun looks down on me and you,
But brightens not the somber view
Of he who guards the tried and true.

The Giver of Laws,

he marvels now,
He muses, he ponders, he wonders how
Things tricked him then, get past him now,
No matter how he bends his brow

Upon the task, surveys the land,
No matter where he picks to stand
To do his job, things warp the plan
And inevitably get out of hand.
